Investigation: The Direct Way Back Home (53min)
The Inner Rhythm Being Retreat July 2025
In this talk, Renata Malinauskas explores investigation—one of the Seven Factors of Awakening—as a powerful and direct pathway into presence, insight, and freedom. Unlike detached observation, investigation invites us into intimate contact with our lived experience, gently turning toward whatever arises with curiosity and clarity. Rooted in the body, this process allows us to move beyond conceptual knowing and drop beneath the stories we tell ourselves, into the felt sense where truth lives. Through somatic inquiry, patterns of suffering—like anger or shame—can soften and transform, revealing the impermanence, unsatisfactoriness, and emptiness at their core. This embodied knowing becomes not only a path of awakening but also a portal to deep healing, bringing online qualities of compassion, equanimity, and loving presence. As we learn to stay with what is, without clinging or aversion, we begin to dissolve the illusion of separation and come home to the unshakable ground of awareness itself.
